RCIA: Combined Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion

Please mark your calendars for Sunday, March 5, 2017 at 3 PM at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph for our Archdiocesan Rite of Election.

Rehearsal will begin at 2:15 PM, which all parish coordinators, catechumens, candidates, and sponsors are required to attend.

Please note: the recent issue of The Catholic Transcript has printed the incorrect date. The Rite indicates that the Rite of Election should take place on the first Sunday of Lent. This is a significant step for catechumens and candidates as they look toward Holy Week and their full initiation into the Church. For that reason: We heartily encourage all parishes, especially those who have a catechumen or candidate, to attend this beautiful event. This sacred celebration is very meaningful to the catechumens and candidates who attend, and so it is always a kind gesture to have the visible support of their local church community present at the Cathedral. Please visit the Combined Rite page for important information, registration forms, a copy of the Parish Rite of Sending, and more.

Lenten Retreat for Parish Ministers – Register Today!

Parish ministers are responsible for all faith formation opportunities in the life of the parish - the ones overseeing events that provide spiritual nourishment - but are too busy managing programs to reap the benefits. If that is you, this day is for YOU to be fed!

Join us on Friday, March 31 OR Saturday, April 1, 2017 for a morning of recharging, renewal, and re-connection. Visit the Lenten Retreat page for more information and registration.
