Evangelii Gaudium (Joy of the Gospel)
Archbishop Leonard P. Blair provided copies of Evangelii Gaudium (The Joy of the Gospel) to schools and parishes (given at the 2016 Congress) to read, reflect, and discuss with their faculty/community. (If you would like a copy, while supplies last, contact Jennifer at Jennifer.McClintock@aohct.org)
As partners in the educational process it is important that parents/guardians become familiar with insights into Evangelii Gaudium illuminating the vision of Pope Francis. It is from this vision of the Office of Education, Evangelization and Catechesis in the Archdiocese of Hartford is empowered to be a beacon for the New Evangelization drawing young people to encounter the living God.
With permission from the President of Catholic Theological Union (CTU) in Chicago the Office of Catholic Schools provides a link to a series of reflections on The Joy of the Gospel. Catholic Theological Union is the largest Roman Catholic graduate school of theology and ministry in the United States that prepares effective leaders for the Church, ready to witness to Christ's good news of peace, justice, and love.
