The current policy in the Archdiocese of Hartford states that all pastors, priests and administrators use ONLY AOHCT.ORG email address. Correction! Archbishop's St. Patrick's Day Breakfast.

In the recent issue of the Catholic Transcript, the 17th Annual Archbishop's St. Patrick's Day Breakfast location was listed incorrectly. The breakfast will be on March 17th, 2017 at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford. For a flyer, click here.

Welcome!

The OEEC welcomes Ana Maria Alstrum! Ana Maria has been appointed Archdiocesan Director of Hispanic Catechesis effective February 1st. We are happy to welcome her to our office and look forward to working with her.

Upcoming ESSA Workshop

On February 10, the Office of Education, Evangelization, and Catechesis (OEEC) will sponsor a one-day workshop on the new requirements that affect non-public schools under ESSA for all schools in the Archdiocese of Hartford. Advancement and Enrollment Casual Conversation

School administrators and staff members in the areas of both advancement and enrollment management are invited to attend a Casual Conversation on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the Archdiocesan Center at St. Thomas Seminary from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. We hope you will join us as we learn from one another by sharing best practices, frustrations and experiences. Please come prepared to discuss with your colleagues one challenge you have faced and one success. We ask that you RSVP to Linda Serafin at Linda.serafin@aohct.org by February 21, 2017. Knights of Columbus Museum/World War I Exhibit

The Knights of Columbus Museum in New Haven will open a WWI exhibition April 6, 2017, to mark the 100th anniversary of the United States' entrance into the war. The show includes historical and Catholic/religious dimensions of the war. The museum is open daily. Admission is free and groups are welcome. Certificate Eligibility Worksheets required of all CBS students in their second and fourth years of study are available now here . Two-year certificates will be awarded at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Hartford on June 10 at 1:00pm. Four-year certificates will be awarded at our graduation service at St. Thomas Seminary Chapel, June 8 at 6:30pm.

Combined Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion

This is a reminder that the deadline for registration for the Archdiocesan Combined Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion is February 14, 2017. Please review the information on our website and prepare the appropriate paperwork by that time in order to attend the Combined Rite on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at 3 PM at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph. *Please note: the recent issue of The Catholic Transcript has printed the incorrect date. This ceremony does not include Sunday Mass. Please attend at your own parish.


Adult Confirmation

We are pleased to announce that our Adult Confirmation program for the spring will be running again, with 4 sites in Waterbury, Cheshire, Torrington, and West Hartford. Classes begin in March, with the Confirmation ceremony on April 25 at 7 PM at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph.
