Principals' Advisory Council for Elementary (PACE)
PACE shall have as its general purpose to assist the Office of Education, Evangelization and Catechesis in the operation of Catholic schools within the Archdiocese of Hartford. It shall achieve its purpose by:
- Receiving suggestions and/or concerns on school-related issues from the Principals and presenting these to the Office of Education. Evangelization and Catechesis' staff at regular meetings;
- Acting as a channel of communication to and from the Principals when requested by the Office of Education, Evangelization and Catechesis; and
- Hearing the issues of the Superintendent and the Principals.
Membership shall be comprised of the Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent of Academics, and the Principal Representatives. Each Principal member must have a minimum of four years experience as an administrator in the Archdiocese. The term of membership is two years, renewable one time, totaling four years.
The members shall be elected by the Principals of each vicariate in the spring, and take office the following school year.
The Superintendent shall appoint three Principals at large for a term of two years, renewable one time, totaling four years.
PACE meetings shall be held four times during the school year and as called by the Superintendent.
