First Annual Faith Formation Share-Fair

For catechetical leaders, catechists and Catholic school educators, the summer months are opportunities for rest, relaxation and renewal of our spirits. However, for those involved in religious formation, the summer is also a time for planning ahead and envisioning a new year. This summer, the Office of Education, Evangelization and Catechesis will be holding four “Share Fairs” in different locations throughout the Archdiocese. These Share Fairs will give those in faith formation ministry the opportunity to share their best ideas and walk away with some new techniques for teaching our Catholic faith to the children in our parishes and schools. Box of Joy - A Youth Advent Project

Advent Box of Joy.jpg

The Archdiocese of Hartford has teamed up with Cross Catholic Outreach in its mission to “Deliver Food, Shelter and Hope to the Poorest of the Poor.”

Consider this cool idea for your parish religious education program, classroom, youth group, and/or Confirmation class for Advent 2017. At Christmas, we experience the joy of our Lord Jesus Christ. Gift giving is a wonderful, meaningful part of that experience. Unfortunately, severe poverty deprives many children in developing countries of this joy. Their parents are too poor to provide even one simple Christmas present. Through Cross Catholic Outreach’s Box of Joy program, you can ensure these children are not deprived of Christmas blessings this year. By packing a Christmas gift box and sponsoring the cost of its shipment, you can deliver a Box of Joy to a child overseas who would otherwise receive nothing.

Parishes/schools can sign up now until September! For more information, please visit:
