OEEC Religious Programs

The work of evangelization enriches the mind and the heart; it opens up spiritual horizons; it makes us more and more sensitive to the workings of the Holy Spirit, and it takes us beyond our limited spiritual constructs.

– Pope Francis (Evangelii Gaudium 272)

The Office of Education, Evangelization and Catechesis offers a variety of programs for those looking to engage more deeply within their parishes.

For those who are looking to complete the Sacraments of Initiation, we offer Adult Confirmation classes. These supplement those offered within parishes, and encourage confirmands to participate within their own parish community if possible.

For adults looking to learn more and be more fully formed as active Catholics, the Catholic Biblical School (Link) and Lay Ministry Program offer continued learning opportunities and ways to engage as educated, active faithful.

Our Parish Religious Education and Catholic Scouting programs offer spaces for the youth of our Archdiocese to be educated in our Catholic faith in the context of their lives and passions.

We also offer Hispanic Ministries and catechesis for the Spanish-speaking members of our Archdiocesan family.

It is our hope that these programs will provide spaces for continuing catechesis, as well as opportunities for discernment of how best each member of the Archdiocesan family of faith can more fully live out his or her vocation.
