Notice from the Archbishop Regarding Adult Initiation
Additionally, OEEC has issued a guidance document for matters of faith formation in these times. If you are responsible for Adult Confirmation, we recommend reviewing this document.
POSTPONED: Spring 2020 Ceremony
The spring 2020 Adult Confirmation ceremony initially scheduled for May 5, 2020 has been POSTPONED in light of the current climate. More information will be forthcoming about a fall 2020 ceremony.
For those parishes who are prepared to offer Adult Confirmation classes:
We ask that you keep our office informed regarding your Adult Confirmation class offerings, as we get a large number of inquiries and would like to direct those inquirers to their [nearest] parish.
If you currently/plan to run Adult Confirmation classes, please notify our office through the contact information at the bottom of this page so that we may keep updated records of what is available throughout the Archdiocese.
For those adults looking to make the sacrament of Confirmation:
Please begin by reviewing this list of Frequently Asked Questions.
Please be in contact with your local parish. They are the first point of contact, and many either run their own classes or are preparing to do so.
The OEEC will be coordinating the Adult Confirmation ceremonies in the fall and in the spring, but not running classes outside of parishes.
