Pentecost Resources

Celebrating the Feast of Pentecost on May 31, is a excellent way to help children and families recognize the power of the Holy Spirit in the lives of the original disciples and in their lives as well. Here are some resources specific to Pentecost.
  • Check out these activities from Catholic Icing that you can encourage families to do at home with their children to celebrate Pentecost.
  • Loyola Press offers free downloads for a prayer service (which can be led on a virtual platform or sent to families) and a family handout inviting parents to share the message of Pentecost with their children.
  • Oriented for faith-at-home formation, here is Pentecost in a Box, an activity families can do together to strengthen their understanding of the Holy Spirit. (From BuildingFaith.org)
  • Here are ten craft projects for families to do to focus on Pentecost. Consider sending one or two of these home as options. Encourage families to take pictures of their project and send to your parish social media site.
